What Is the Program?
Impavido, like other orphan drugs for rare diseases, is expensive. It carries a high cost as the number of patients needing treatment in the United States is small.
By offering a risk sharing consignment inventory program, Profounda hopes to have the product available at more locations so that, when needed, the product may be available for use without unnecessary further delays.
The program is simple.
STEP 1: Hospitals enroll in Orphan Drugs On Site Program by signing Profounda's consignment agreement. The consignement agreement is free other than $100 shipping charge.
Step 2: The Hospital receives consigned Inventory- but the title remains with Profounda
Step 3: Hospital notifies Profounda when product is used and receives final invoice for said used product.
Step 4: Replacement product is sent to maintain inventory at hospital.
Step 4: If no product used, by expiration date product is returned to Profounda and replacement product with newer dating is sent back to the Hospital. If product is not returned, an invoice will be generated.
